Right now there are 5 prize homes open from Mater, Yourtown, Endeavour and Dream Home Art Union (the four charities we cover), worth $33.9 million all up. How do prize home draws work?
A charity buys or builds a home, furnishes it and sells tickets to raise money. When sales close, one ticket is drawn for first prize and the winner gets the home, plus any gold, cash or car in the package. Most draws also have early bird and secondary prizes. You buy direct from the charity, and our buttons take you to its official ticket page.
Which prize home has the best odds?
It changes every draw, because each one caps the number of tickets it can sell. Of the draws we cover, the smallest pool right now is Yourtown 561, capped at 500,000 tickets, so it has the best odds per ticket if every ticket sells. Per dollar it can be a different story: ticket prices and bundle sizes vary, so a bigger bundle in another draw can match or beat it. Our prize home odds page works out the odds for exactly what you plan to spend.
What's the cheapest prize home ticket?
Mater Lotteries tickets start at $2, the lowest of the draws we cover right now. Each charity sets its own prices, and bigger bundles usually add bonus tickets or bonus gold, so the price per ticket drops as you go up.
What happens if I win a prize home?
The charity contacts you, usually by phone on draw day, then confirms in writing. The home is yours to live in, rent out or sell, and most packages are fully furnished. Each draw page has our breakdown of what's included and the costs that come with owning it.
Who can enter a prize home draw?
You must be 18 or over. Each charity's terms list where tickets can be sold and any other rules, and each of our draw pages links to the official terms so you can check before you buy.
