How prize home draw dates work
Every charity prize home draw has up to three key dates:
- Entries close. Usually in the evening, between about 7.55pm and 10pm AEST. A draw can close earlier if every ticket sells out, so don’t leave it to the last night.
- Winner drawn. Usually 1 to 7 days after entries close. The charity contacts the winner and publishes the result on its website.
- Early bird deadline. Some draws give an extra prize to anyone who buys by a set date. For example, Endeavour Draw 470 tickets bought by 29 October go in the draw for a $5,000 cash prize.
All times are Queensland time (AEST)
The charities run their draws on Queensland time, which doesn’t change for daylight saving. During daylight saving (early October to early April), here’s what an 8pm AEST close means where you live:

During daylight saving (early October to early April). The rest of the year, 8pm AEST is 8pm in QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and ACT, 7.30pm in SA and NT, and 6pm in WA.
Prize home calendar FAQs
Each draw has its own closing date and time, shown in the calendar and the key dates table above. Most close in the evening, Queensland time.
It closes as soon as the last ticket is sold, even if that’s before the advertised date. With some charities, tickets bought after a sell-out go into their next draw.
The charity announces the result on its website on draw day. We add the result to each draw page and our Prize Home Winners page.
Each major charity runs several prize home draws a year, and most open their next draw before the current one closes. New draws are added to this calendar as soon as they’re announced.
Most draws are open across Australia, but the rules vary. For example, South Australian residents can’t enter Mater prize home draws. Check the “Who can enter” section on each draw page.
