Prize Home Odds: Every Open Draw, Ranked
Your real chance of winning each Australian prize home, worked out from the official ticket limits and bundle prices.
Most charity prize homes are on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, and the photos all look amazing. But the thing that really matters when you buy a ticket is the one nobody shows you side by side: the odds. So we went through every open draw’s official terms, counted how many tickets each charity is allowed to sell, and worked out what your money actually buys. Here are the numbers, draw by draw, so you can pick the one that suits you.
Which prize home has the best odds right now?
We rank every open Mater, Yourtown, Dream Home Art Union and Endeavour prize home draw by your odds when you spend $100 on the best-value bundle, using the maximum ticket limit in each charity's terms and conditions. Lower is better. Draws with smaller ticket limits, usually Endeavour and Yourtown, give the best odds per dollar. Dream Home Art Union and Mater sell millions of tickets, so the odds are longer, but the prizes are bigger. You can also see every open draw by closing date.

Odds assume every available ticket is sold; if fewer sell, your odds are better. Prize value per $1 is the total prize value divided by what the charity takes if every ticket sells at that price. It is a rough way to compare value, not a return you should expect: most tickets win nothing.

Prize home odds: your questions answered
Which prize home has the best odds?
It changes every draw, because it depends on how many tickets each charity can sell and what you pay per ticket. Draws with a smaller ticket limit, usually Yourtown and Endeavour, tend to give the best odds per dollar. Mater and Dream Home Art Union can sell millions of tickets, so the odds are longer, but the prizes are bigger. The calculator above shows the current numbers for every open draw.
How are prize home odds worked out?
Divide the most tickets the charity can sell, which is in its terms and conditions, by the number of tickets you hold. If a draw allows 1,500,000 tickets and you hold 10, your odds of winning first prize are 1 in 150,000. We use the full ticket limit, so if fewer tickets sell, your real odds are better.
What does prize value per $1 mean?
It is the total prize value divided by the money the charity would take if every ticket sold at your bundle price. It is a rough way to compare value between draws, not a return you can expect. Most tickets win nothing, and the money raised goes to charity.
Do bigger bundles improve my odds?
Yes. More tickets means better odds, and with some charities a bigger bundle also lowers the cost of each ticket or adds an entry into a bonus gold draw. Bonus gold is a separate prize for bundle buyers, not a guaranteed prize. Only spend what you would be happy to donate.
