How the odds work

Your odds are the tickets you hold divided by the most tickets the draw can sell. Dream Home Art Union draws allow millions of tickets, so the odds are long, but the prizes are the biggest around.

Example: Draw 435 allows up to 10,763,970 tickets, and its $100 book is 50 tickets. That gives you odds of

1 in 215,279

If fewer tickets sell, your odds get better.

THE BEST BIT

Win or not, your ticket has a veteran's back

Since 1956, the art union (you probably still call it the RSL Art Union) has raised money for RSL Queensland. That money helps veterans and their families with advocacy, jobs, housing and wellbeing, especially when they're leaving the Defence Force and starting fresh.

So even if the apartments go to someone else, your ticket still did something good for people who served.

70 years of fundraising for veterans. RSL Queensland says its services helped 227 veterans and their families into safe, permanent homes.

Dream Home Art Union (RSL Art Union) FAQ

The questions we get asked most.

Is Dream Home Art Union the same as the RSL Art Union?

How much are Dream Home Art Union tickets?

A single ticket is $5 or $10, depending on the draw. In a $5 draw, books go up to $150 for 150 tickets ($1 each); $10 draws like Draw 435 have their own books, up to $1,000 for 500 tickets. Check the draw's own page for its exact options and your odds. Only spend what you'd be happy to donate.

Does buying more Dream Home Art Union tickets improve my chances?

A little, yes. Each ticket is one entry, so your odds are your tickets divided by the most tickets the draw can sell. Draw 435 allows up to 10,763,970 tickets, and its $100 book is 50 tickets, so $100 gives you odds of 1 in 215,279. Bigger books also cut the price per ticket. Buy for the cause and the daydream, never as a plan.
